Seasonal Employment Opportunities
for University Aged Youth Leaders
Most years, we regretfully say goodbye to youth leaders who are moving on to the next stages of their careers, their lives and their faith journeys. The sadness of these annual departures is balanced, however, by our annual search for exciting new young people to staff our Camp. Some years we get lucky and are blessed to have one or more youth leaders return for a second or third summer with us.
Those years when we do know we will have positions to fill during our next summer season, in or about November we send out bulletins and notices to the Presbyteries, their member Congregations and Synods across Ontario, seeking applications from interested students.
For years when new youth workers are needed, the applications submitted are received, reviewed and vetted by our Staffing Committee. This vetting process includes the checking of all references, speaking to former employers and personal interviews (both in person and sometimes via technology).
All applicants are required to have a clear and current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Police Records Checks, before their applications will be considered.
Although we sincerely appreciate the interest of all applicants, only applicants chosen for an interview will receive a response to their application.
